Information we may collect
We may receive personal information that you choose to provide when you contact us, such as your name, email address, organisation and the contents of your message.
The services used to deliver, measure and secure the website may also process technical information, such as IP addresses, device and browser information, pages viewed, approximate location, referring pages, request timestamps and security logs.
How and why we use it
- To reply to enquiries and continue conversations you initiate.
- To operate, secure and troubleshoot the website.
- With your consent, to understand how visitors find and use the website so we can improve it.
- To understand and prevent misuse, fraud or security threats.
- To comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Depending on the circumstances, our lawful basis will usually be your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the website and responding to enquiries, taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performance of a contract, or compliance with a legal obligation.
Cookies, analytics and local storage
We use Cookiebot to present and remember your cookie choices. Non-essential technologies are disabled unless you consent to the relevant category. You can review or change your choices at any time using the cookie-settings control in the website footer.
If you consent to statistics cookies, Google Analytics 4 helps us understand information such as which pages are visited, how visitors reached the website and general device or browser characteristics. We use this information in aggregate to assess and improve the website. We do not use advertising cookies or personalised advertising.
If you choose a light or dark theme, that preference is stored locally in your browser so the site can remember it. Detailed, current information about the cookies in use, their providers and lifetimes is available through the cookie-settings control.
Who may process information
We use service providers to operate the website and communications. These include Cloudflare for website delivery, DNS, security and email routing; GitHub for source-code hosting and deployment workflows; Usercentrics Cookiebot for consent management; and Google for analytics, tag management and email services. They process information under their own contractual and privacy arrangements.
International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we expect the relevant provider to use an approved transfer mechanism or another lawful safeguard.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to enquiries and meeting legal, accounting or security requirements. Routine correspondence will normally be reviewed for deletion within 24 months of the last meaningful interaction. Analytics information is retained in accordance with the settings applied to our Google Analytics property; cookie-specific lifetimes are shown in the cookie-settings panel.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.
Contact us using the email address above to exercise a right. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
